Blade Runner: The Final Cut

  • 21st century advanced robots(replicants) from tyrell corporation

  • The robots were used off world for slave labor

  • They were superior in everything but intelligence over humans

  • They were outlawed on earth

  • Blade runner unit was put together to “retire” the replicants

  • Flying cars, large digital screens and a lot of other advanced tech

  • A replicant is being examined by the doc (Mr. Holden)

  • He asks him questions meant to stimulate emotion and instead of the replicant )leon) answering, he shoots the doc

  • Seems like a futuristic japan or chinatown

  • In the next scene, captain bryant sends 2 officers to get “Deckard”

  • Deckard is being charged with getting all 6 escaped replicants

  • They came back to earth, the tyrell corp, for some unknown reason

  • They are working on a machine to distinguish human from replicant

  • Working on new ways to control them

  • The deviant replicants visit a lab to a guy working on eyes to retrieve more information about tyrell/tyrell corp

  • Deckard gets home to only find the “replicant” (Rachel) waiting for him

  • Her feelings were hurt that he thought she was a replicant

  • Shows different clips around the city with sci-fi trippy background music playing

  • Deckard does some digging and in a picture finds woman tucked into a closet

  • He walks around asking if people recognize anything in the enhanced picture he made

  • Payphone is a video call as well

  • Deckard searches and finds Miss Salome (potential replicant) and impersonates someone the art board

  • He begins questioning her about her job and how she got it

  • The girl figures him out and attacks him, then runs away into the street

  • He chases her down and ends up shooting her down in a shopping center

  • coincidentally , Leon was watching in the background

  • After the encounter, bryant says that he has 4 more replicants to retire

  • Apparently rachel, the replicant who was waiting in his house before, was a replicant as well

  • Leon catches up with Deckard and interrogates him

  • Right before leon tries to kill deckard, rachel saves him by shooting leon in the head

  • He decides to spare her life for saving his, even though it will be someone else trying to pursue her instead

  • When deckard hears rachel play the piano, he falls for her 

  • Guy named sebastian with methuselah syndrome takes in a replicant just to show mercy

  • She brings along another replicant, roy, who breaks the new about leon

  • Sebastian does genetic design for the tyrell corp so he is curious about the nexus 6 gen

  • Nexus 6 gen has a defect similar to sebastian’s, accelerated decrepitude

  • He takes the replicants to see dr. tyrell so he can help their situation

  • He has to win in chess to ascend to the doc’s room

  • The replicants/robots have a red-eye effect (similar to when cameras take pictures and the pictures show red dots in people’s eyes)

  • The doc tries to tell him that fixing the issue of death raises a different issue in their DNA

  • Roy decides to kill the doc since he can’t help, gives him a kiss first??

  • Deckard gets the call to go after sebastian

  • When he walks inside of sebastian’s building/room, he finds a sort of dystopian setting

  • Everything is still, appears to be no one there

  • The girl,Pris, comes out of hiding and attacks deckard

  • She gets the best of him but he finally ends up shooting her

  • Roy arrives back at the room only to find deckard waiting for him

  • Deckard shoots and misses roy

  • Roy chases deckard around the house, even outside of the house to the point where deckard is climbing the wall to get to the roof

  • Roy catches up to him on the roof so he tries to just to the next roof and just makes it 

  • Roy clears it perfectly and is just waiting to kill Deckard

  • As roy talks to Deckard he begins talking slower and in a lower tone until he eventually shuts down

  • His last words were “time to die” in reference to killing Deckard, but ironically he died instead

  • The agent who works for bryant that came to see him before sees him on the top of the roof, having “retired” the second to last replicant, and relieves him from his duty

  • “The girl will not live” in reference to rachel

  • When he gets back to his place, he finds rachel lying under some covers waiting for him

  • “I love you” and “I trust you” she says to him
